18th December

Sorry to say that the meeting for the 18th December has been cancelled due to a mix up over the Social Clubroom booking.  No one thought to tell us that the Art Group had booked a date change from the 11th to the 18th.  We were clearly advised at the time that the clubroom dates were allocated that we had the 1st and 3rd Wednesday evening of each month, but it seems that the Art Group have a standard booking of the last Wednesday before Christmas......!!!!!
This means that our next meeting will not be until the 15th January, when it will be the 1st round of the Projected Image Competition.

Picture Tip

Here's a tip from Maurice which I think we can all find very useful:-   Have just found an excellent way to find out if a certain location is worth a visit for taking some photographs.   Go to 'Google Images' and input the location. In my case it was Friston Forest which we had passed today. I was very pleased with the results. It seems to work for anywhere. Saves a lot of driving only to be disappointed when you get there.

Observations and Obsessions

Our speaker Liz Scott ARPS, FAIIP provided a very informative and inspiring presentation of her work. Members were treated to a sparkling evening of First Class Photography and Presentation an I am sure we all left the evening with a feeling that we should try and develop our photography in a similar direction. Obviously this quality of photography only comes with experience and Liz certainly has spent at least the last 40 years in pursuing her passion. A most enjoyable evening.

Wednesday Evening 4th Dec, we have a Print Lecture by Liz Scott ARPS who is one of the leading local photographers, We can learn a lot from this lady who has won many awards and distinctions for her work. Definitely an evening not to miss.

Meeting will start PROMPTLY at 7.30 so please arrive in good time for the start of the talk.   Also please bring along your wives and friends.  Visitors are welcome
